May 31

On May 30th & 31st, Troop 325 went rock climbing at Q'emilin in Post Falls, Idaho. The first day, we climbed on the Garden Wall and rappelled on the Outback Wall. The boys spent the night camping and Dutch oven cooking at the T325 campsite at Dean's. The second day, the boys returned to the Outback Wall to climb some more routes and practice some more rappelling.

It was great weather both days. We had great fun and really sharpened our climbing skills. Cody's Uncle Russ and Cousin Austin joined us the first day.

Thanks to Brian Hamilton and Steve Lee for helping out on the first day and Keith Schultz and Ben Johnson for helping out on the second day.

May 18

On May 16th – 17th, Troop 325 backpacked to Emerald Lake in the Hoodoo Canyon west of Kettle Falls, Washington. It was beautiful weather. In true T325 fashion, we hiked up, up, up and then down, down, down. We had a lot of training in first aid, cooking, stove repairs and, although it was not planned, much tick identification. We also did some impromptu trail maintenance.
